Each year, we use the profits from our Packing Party product sales to fill and cover the shipping cost for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and this year we made 23!
Shoebox #20 is for a 10-14 year old boy and is themed, Dallas Cowboys. He will soon be wearing a Dallas Cowboys t-shirt, True Blue Santa hat and matching drawstring backpack. There are also school supplies, including crayons, paper and a school pouch filled with pencils, pens, paper clips, an eraser and pencil sharpener. He will enjoy throwing the stuffed football around with his friends or playing a game with the bandage-themed playing cards which say “God has the power to heal”! There’s also a flashlight, Dallas Cowboys magnet, football-clad Cowboys bear, candy cane and bag of yummy candies. We can’t forget to mention the bar soap, washcloth, toothpaste, toothbrush and comb of his very own. Last of all, there is a train whistle (yes, it really does sound like a train), “Clap For The Lord” hand clapper and several Bible stencils. Best of all, we made a large yarn pom pom out of blue, gray and tan yarn (go Dallas Cowboys!) for him to enjoy tossing around. Read about where we got these Dallas Cowboys items at a discount!
Before bringing this shoebox with us to the Collection Center during National Collection Week, we’ll slip in a personal note to the child and a photo!
