Mighty Motorcycle Card Kit

Hello! We’re so excited that you’re here and hope that you are ready to have some fun as we create bespoke greeting cards together!

One thing to keep in mind before we get started… this is merely a guide to assemble the card in a way that resembles the pictured version. We encourage you to unleash your creativity and explore alternative layouts, add your own touches (such as inking, embossing, glitter, etc) and make this project reflect your own style or the future recipient’s personality.

Are you ready to bring this work of art to life? Let’s get started!

How to Assemble the Cards in this Kit…

Things You’ll Need:

Additional Supplies (Optional):
These items are purely optional and simply allow you to take these cards to the next level!

  • Adhesive foam pieces
  • Ink pads and brushes for shading
  • Glitter
  • Accents such as rhinestones, pearls, etc.
  • Embossing folders

Let’s Get Started!

Step 1:
Align one strip of red patterned paper along the top long edge of the card front. Adhere with glue. Align the second strip of red patterned paper along the bottom long edge of the card front. Adhere with glue.

Align the black ribbed strips along the inside edge of both red patterned papers. Adhere with glue and trim any overhang with scissors.

Give it some definition: Use a dark ink pad and brush to lightly shade the edges of the red patterned paper pieces before adhering.

Step 2:
Place a shiny wheel piece on top of a black tire piece. Attach with a small amount of glue around the rim. Repeat with the remaining wheel and tire piece.

Place the red back fender piece on top of one assembled wheel. Attach with a small amount of glue where the pieces meet. Repeat with the remaining wheel and red front fender piece.

Accent your card: Use a brown ink pad and brush to lightly shade a trailing cloud of dust behind the motorcycle. Allow to dry completely before continuing.

Step 3:
Place the black motorcycle frame piece on top of both wheels, centering the back pointed end of the frame in the middle of the shiny back wheel and the front tip of the frame in the middle of the shiny front wheel. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Place the tiny wheel hub pieces on top of the frame to mark the wheel centers, ensuring that the smaller hub piece is used for the front wheel and the larger hub piece is used for the back wheel. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing these tiny pieces a little bit easier!

Step 4:
Glue the motorcycle assembled thus far, onto the front of the card in the white area between the black strips.

Place the black seat piece along the top edge of the frame piece and back fender piece. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Place the red gas tank piece along the top edge of the frame piece, just touching the tip of the seat piece.

How to make it “pop”: For a 3-D motorcycle, cut tiny pieces of adhesive foam and stick them underneath the wheels and frame instead of gluing the motorcycle to the card front.
**If you ordered adhesive foam pieces… save them for Step 7.

Step 5:
Place the shiny exhaust piece along the bottom edge of the frame. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Place the two gray triangular engine pieces beside each other on the frame (pointing down) so that the right piece appears to connect to the exhaust pipe. Adhere with a small amount of glue. Next, place the shiny engine piece across the top of the two engine pieces you just glued. Adhere with a small amount of glue. Finally, place the gray oval-looking engine piece above the exhaust pipe and slightly overlapping the pieces you just glued. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Take your time: Don’t worry about arranging the engine pieces perfectly! The assembled engine will fill about half of the large opening in the frame.

Step 6:
Place the shiny headlight piece at the front of the frame. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Place two tiny bracket pieces on the frame just below the handlebars. Adhere with a small amount of glue. Place the remaining tiny bracket piece on the frame just above the front fender. Adhere with a small amount of glue.

Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing these tiny pieces a little bit easier!

Step 7:
If you ordered sentiments with your card kit, now’s the time to add one to your card! Apply glue to the back of the sentiment piece and position it near the bottom left edge of the blue wood-looking paper. Press to adhere.

If you ordered adhesive foam pieces… do not glue the sentiment down. Instead, peel the backing off one side of each adhesive foam piece and attach it to the back of the sentiment. Remove the remaining backings and attach the sentiment to the card.
