Pocket Full of Daisies Card Kit

Hello! We’re so excited that you’re here and hope that you are ready to have some fun as we create bespoke greeting cards together!

One thing to keep in mind before we get started… this is merely a guide to assemble the card in a way that resembles the pictured version. We encourage you to unleash your creativity and explore alternative layouts, add your own touches (such as inking, embossing, glitter, etc) and make this project reflect your own style or the future recipient’s personality.

Are you ready to bring this work of art to life? Let’s get started!

How to Assemble the Cards in this Kit…

Things You’ll Need:

Additional Supplies (Optional):
These items are purely optional and simply allow you to take these cards to the next level!

  • Adhesive foam pieces
  • Ink pads and brushes for shading
  • Glitter
  • Accents such as rhinestones, pearls, etc.
  • Embossing folders

Let’s Get Started!

Step 1:
Center one piece of blue wood-looking paper on the front of the card. Adhere with glue.

Give it some definition: Use a dark blue ink pad and brush to lightly shade the edges of the paper and pocket piece before adhering.

Step 2
Center the blue pocket on the front of the card. Adhere with glue.

How to make it “pop”: For a 3-D pocket, place a piece of adhesive foam underneath the top edge of the pocket, while gluing the pocket sides and bottom edges to the card front.

Step 3
Take 2 daisy petal pieces and place them on top of each other, rotating the top piece slightly so that the petals alternate to form a full-looking flower. Attach the pieces together with a small amount of glue in the center. Repeat with the remaining petal pieces to create a total of 3 flowers.

Take it one step further: Use a light-colored ink pad and brush to lightly shade the centers of the petal pieces before adhering.

Step 4
Glue a yellow flower center on each set of daisy petals.

Add some sparkle: Lightly brush liquid glue over the flower centers and sprinkle yellow or gold glitter over them before adhering. Allow to dry completely before continuing.

Step 5
Arrange the flowers on the card front near the top of the pocket, keeping them close to each other. Apply glue to the center of the flower backs so that the petals can “pop up”. Gently bend the petals upwards for a 3-D effect.

If you ordered adhesive foam pieces… do not glue the flowers down. Instead, peel the backing off one side of each adhesive foam piece and attach it to the back of each flower. Remove the remaining backings and attach the flowers to the card.

Step 6
Arrange the greenery pieces around the cluster of flowers, tucking them underneath the petals. Once satisfied with the arrangement, adhere with glue.

Make it lifelike: Don’t worry about symmetry or even spacing when placing the greenery! Nature is wild, so it’s okay to place several greenery pieces beside each other!

Step 7
If you ordered sentiments with your card kit, now’s the time to add one to your card! Apply glue to the back of the sentiment piece and position it near the bottom left edge of the blue wood-looking paper. Press to adhere.

One final thought: Add additional pieces of adhesive foam to the corners of the sentiment to make it “pop”!
