How to Assemble this Dimensional Paper Accent…
Things You’ll Need:
- Pirate Boy set
- Liquid craft glue
We like using clear Elmer’s glue. - Craft tweezers
Additional Supplies (Optional):
These items are purely optional and simply allow you to take the design to the next level!
- Adhesive foam pieces for extra dimension
- Ink pads and brushes for shading
- Glitter
- Accents such as rhinestones, pearls, etc.
Important Notes:
*The colors and patterns of the pieces will vary from set to set based on paper availability.
*This set contains small pieces! Not intended for use by small children.
*Use ink pads and brushes to lightly shade the pieces in this set before assembling to give the finished design extra dimension.
Let’s Get Started!
Step 1:
Glue the eye pieces inside the eye openings of the head piece.
Glue the eye patch piece onto the head piece, covering the right eye.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing these small eye pieces a little bit easier!
Step 2:
Glue the hair piece onto the head piece, aligning the top edges of both pieces.
Glue the bandana piece on top of the hair piece so that the knot is above the right ear.
Glue the skull-and-crossbones piece onto the pirate hat piece.
Glue the assembled hat onto the head piece, just above the bandana piece.
Step 3:
Glue the sash piece onto the shirt piece so that the sash goes from top left to bottom right.
Glue the pants piece just below the shirt piece.
Glue the belt piece onto the pants piece where the pants and shirt pieces meet.
Glue the buckle piece on top of the belt piece.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing the tiny buckle piece a little bit easier!
Step 4:
Glue the left coat piece onto the assembled body piece.
Glue the right coat piece on the assembled body piece.
Step 4:
Glue the assembled head onto the assembled body piece.
Glue the pirate hook under the right cuff of the coat piece.
Step 4:
Glue the hand piece under the left cuff of the coat piece.
Glue the sword handle on top of the hand piece.
Glue the finger piece on top of the sword hand so that it looks like his hand is holding the sword.
Glue the sword blade under the top edge of the sword handle piece.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing the tiny finger piece a little bit easier!
