How to Assemble this Dimensional Paper Accent…
Things You’ll Need:
- Sweet Songbirds set
- Liquid craft glue
We like using clear Elmer’s glue. - Craft tweezers
Additional Supplies (Optional):
These items are purely optional and simply allow you to take the design to the next level!
- Adhesive foam pieces for extra dimension
- Ink pads and brushes for shading
- Glitter
- Accents such as rhinestones, pearls, etc.
Important Notes:
*The colors and patterns of the pieces will vary from set to set based on paper availability.
*This set contains small pieces! Not intended for use by small children.
*Use ink pads and brushes to lightly shade the pieces in this set before assembling to give the finished design extra dimension.
Let’s Get Started!
Step 1:
Glue the beak piece onto the solid base of the bird, aligning the pointed tips of the beaks on both pieces.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing the small beak piece a little bit easier!
Step 2:
Glue the bird body piece (with holes) on top of the assembled bird base, aligning the eye opening of both pieces.
Glue 11 tiny freckle pieces into the triangular holes of the body piece.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing the tiny freckle pieces a little bit easier!
Step 3:
Glue the head piece on top of the assembled bird, aligning the eye opening of both pieces.
Step 4:
Glue the head cap piece on top of the assembled bird, aligning the eye opening of both pieces.
Glue the black eye piece inside the eye opening.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing the tiny eye piece a little bit easier!
Step 5:
Glue the smaller wing piece on top of the larger wing piece.
Glue the assembled wing piece on top of the assembled bird.
Repeat steps for additional birds.
