Create a tropical scene for your beach-themed greeting card with this Tropical Hammock set which features a fringed hammock with colorful pillows stretched between two lush palm trees.

How to Assemble this Dimensional Paper Accent…
Things You’ll Need:
- Tropical Hammock set
- Liquid craft glue
We like using clear Elmer’s glue. - Craft tweezers
Additional Supplies (Optional):
These items are purely optional and simply allow you to take the design to the next level!
- Adhesive foam pieces for extra dimension
- Ink pads and brushes for shading
- Glitter
- Accents such as rhinestones, pearls, etc.
Important Notes:
*The colors and patterns of the pieces will vary from set to set based on paper availability.
*This set contains small pieces! Not intended for use by small children.
*Use ink pads and brushes to lightly shade the pieces in this set before assembling to give the finished design extra dimension.
Let’s Get Started!
Step 1:
Layer the three smaller palm leaves pieces atop each other in this order:
– Top layer has 4 leaves in an “X” shape.
– Middle layer has 5 leaves.
– Bottom layer has 4 leaves in a “V” shape.
Rotate the pieces slightly to create a full, leafy appearance and glue together.
Glue the assembled leaves to the top of the shorter palm tree trunk piece.
Step 2:
Layer the three larger palm leaves pieces atop each other in this order:
– Top layer has 4 leaves in an “X” shape.
– Middle layer has 5 leaves.
– Bottom layer has 6 leaves.
Rotate the pieces slightly to create a full, leafy appearance and glue together.
Glue the assembled leaves to the top of the taller palm tree trunk piece.
Step 3:
Glue the hammock fringe piece on top of the hammock piece.
Step 4:
Glue the longer hammock support piece on top of the fringe piece, on the left side of the hammock.
Glue the shorter hammock support piece on top of the fringe piece, on the right side of the hammock.
Arrange the two pillows on the hammock and glue in place.
Helpful tip: Use craft tweezers to make picking up and placing these tiny hammock support pieces a little bit easier!
Step 5:
Glue the hammock to the palm tree trunks, with the shorter palm tree on the right and the taller palm tree on the left.
