OCC Processing Center 2015

When Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week ends, those of us who are in charge of a Collection Center take a moment to catch our breath before heading down to the Processing Center to volunteer. The Processing Center we visited was open from November 24th to December 18th and processed over 700,000 shoeboxes! Here is a behind-the-scenes look at volunteering at the Processing Center and a few tips as well!

At last, the week we had waited for all year long had arrived – Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week! Hands down, this is our favorite time of the year. Being co-coordinator at church for the area’s Collection Center makes for a busy week of shoeboxes and volunteers. Here’s a recap of the week…

2015 Profits for Shoeboxes – Box 11

We packed this Operation Christmas Child shoebox for a 10-14 year old boy using profits from sales of our Packing Party Products. It has a Disney theme with a Mickey Mouse-print drawstring backpack, Herbie toy car, Monster’s Inc activity book, mini puzzles, Buzz Lightyear mini kite, washcloth elephant and more!

We packed this Operation Christmas Child shoebox for a 10-14 year old girl using profits from sales of our Packing Party Products. It has a theme of favorite items of the MadeCreatively team! There is a rainbow drawstring backpack, pool float mat, hair clips, small plastic bowl, headband, washcloth hippo and more!
