Our Mission to fill “23” Begins

Today we opened up our carton of red and green G.O. shoeboxes and folded 23 of them. Setting them out on the floor, we began to fill them with some items which we had already collected. One item that we’re hoping to include in each of the 23 boxes is a pair of shoes! We also decided that each box will have a theme that is uniquely its own. Here is a sneak peek of list of the themes but we won’t tell you all of the box themes just yet!

Striving for 23!

We are striving to reach 5 more children for Christ in 2016 by filling 23 shoeboxes with our Packing Party product profits. Those 23 shoeboxes will pack perfectly into one Samaritan’s Purse carton that we’ll proudly say was made possible by our wonderful Packing Party customers! 23 children’s lives will forever change with the love, hope, Good News and great joy that comes with a shoebox gift. OCC Processing Center 2015

When Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week ends, those of us who are in charge of a Collection Center take a moment to catch our breath before heading down to the Processing Center to volunteer. The Processing Center we visited was open from November 24th to December 18th and processed over 700,000 shoeboxes! Here is a behind-the-scenes look at volunteering at the Processing Center and a few tips as well!
